Despite the legal drama that still surrounds her, Lizzo had a good Labour Day thanks to Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up.” The celebrity singer took to Instagram on Monday (September 5) to show off her vacation on the water while twerking to the New Orleans rapper’s magnum opus — along with other twerk-worthy sounds. “THOOTHIE THAH THAH,” she captioned one of her Instagram posts while wishing admirers a “Happy Labour Day” on the other. Lizzo has recently faced some harsh criticism after several of her ex-dancers filed a lawsuit against her, however, she plans to countersue her accusers.

Marty Singer, the “About Damn Time” hitmaker’s attorney, told TMZ last month that Lizzo intends to sue her backup dancers as well as that newly surfaced photographs of her accusers “happily carousing” and “gleefully revelling” backstage with nude performers in Paris could strengthen her case. Three former dancers — Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez — sued Lizzo, her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, & her dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, alleging that the singer weight-shamed and sexually assaulted them. According to the suit, Lizzo is accused of forcing Davis into touching a naked performer in an Amsterdam club in February 2023.

Amid The Dancer Drama, ‘About Damn Time’ Singer Lizzo Took To Instagram To Show Off Her Vacation

Although the legal drama still follows her, Lizzo had a good Labour Day thanks to Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up.” The celebrity singer took to Instagram on Monday (September 5) to exhibit off her vacation on the water while twerking to the New Orleans rapper’s magnum opus — among other twerk-worthy sounds. Lizzo has recently faced some severe scrutiny after several of her ex-dancers lodged a lawsuit against her, but she intends to countersue her accusers. On Monday night, though, Lizzo was supporting Beyoncé during her Renaissance tour, as she attended her 42nd birthday tour stop in California. It shows that all is OK between the two artists after there was some uncertainty last month when Beyoncé removed Lizzo’s name from her Break My Soul remix following allegations of sexual harassment against her. Three of Lizzo’s former backup dancers recently filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her.

Beyoncé confirmed her support for the embattled rapper and singer at her most recent gigs by including her name in a list of inspiring women in the remix. Beyoncé had already reinstated Lizzo’s name after withdrawing it earlier in August, and her mother Tina Knowles downplayed the absence at the time. While enjoying the event, Lizzo posed in a silver bodycon dress alongside Chris Rock.
