Due to constant fat-shaming comments, Lizzo is considering leaving the music industry. The ‘Truth Hurts’ singer, an advocate for body positivity, responded to a critic who poked fun at her weight online. Among her 600,000 Twitter followers, Layah Heilpern, who writes Bitcoin Underdressed, wrote: How is Lizzo still THIS fat when she moves so much on stage? She wondered what she must be eating. Lizzo later posted the comment to her account and added: This is the kind of crap I see every day about myself. It’s starting to bother me. Someone in the comments commented that I eat a lot of fast food… I QUIT EATING FAST FOOD YEARS AGO… I don’t want to have to explain myself all the time. Throughout her career, Lizzo has been transparent about the body-shaming comments she receives on a daily basis.

She responded to Kanye West’s claim that the media supported her being ‘unhealthy’ last year. He discussed his ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt he debuted at Paris Fashion Week during an interview with Tucker Carlson Tonight. When he bought Lizzo, the conservation took an unexpected turn. Her comments were received with a round of applause.

Even when I’m eating super clean and working out, this is what my body looks like! She wrote Y’all talk about things you don’t know anything about, and I’m getting heated. She also noted that even though she has never intentionally sought out posts about herself, she is still displaying hate comments and posts on her Twitter account and TikTok For You page. I HATE IT HERE, she tweeted, adding that love on social media doesn’t outweigh the hate… just because I’m fat? It’s crazy. In her opinion, her fans don’t realize how close she is to giving up on everyone and quitting, and living on her farm with her man. In addition, for those who haven’t had an original thought or breath of fresh air for a long time… FAT IS NOT MY ‘BRAND.’ FAT IS WHAT MY BODY LOOKS LIKE. I think that’s all. THAT’S IT. The ‘brand’ I represent is FEEL GOOD MUSIC. CHAMPIONING ALL PEOPLE is my ‘brand’. In yet another tweet, Lizzo declared that her brand was BLACK GIRL LIBERATION. Many fans offered support to Lizzo after her Twitter spree.
