The Concrete Boys collective, known for its tight-knit bond and musical synergy, recently faced a surprising shake-up. Karrahbooo, the group’s first lady, has officially parted ways with the team founded by Lil Yachty. The split became apparent when fans noticed her removal from the Concrete Boys’ Instagram bio and her subsequent decision to unfollow Lil Yachty and other group members on Twitter. On July 29, Lil Yachty confirmed the rumors during an Instagram Live session, providing clarity on the situation.

In his live broadcast, Lil Yachty approached the topic with visible discomfort, indicating the sensitive nature of the discussion. “How do I wanna say this,” he began, pausing momentarily before continuing, “I’mma say this sht one time. We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete sht.” Despite the awkwardness, Yachty emphasized that there were no hard feelings between Karrahbooo and the rest of the Concrete Boys. He expressed his sincere wishes for her continued success, stating, “I have nothing to say, nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career.”

The rumors of Karrahbooo’s departure intensified following the group’s performance at the Broccoli City Festival in 2024, where attendees noticed her absence. This led to widespread speculation about her status with the Concrete Boys, culminating in Lil Yachty’s confirmation of the split. During his Instagram Live, Yachty reiterated his stance, adding, “I don’t have anything really bad to say or anything good to say. We just split, you know?”

While Lil Yachty refrained from disclosing the reasons behind Karrahbooo’s departure, this isn’t the first time the two have experienced public disagreements. In 2023, Karrahbooo faced backlash for using the N-word in her music, a controversy that put her at odds with Lil Yachty. Despite being of mixed race, Karrahbooo’s use of the word sparked criticism, and Yachty sided with her detractors, stating that she should refrain from using the term in her raps.

During an episode of the Safe Space podcast, Karrahbooo expressed her frustration over the criticism and sought support from her label boss, Lil Yachty. “I do, like, get kinda annoyed how every day somebody’s commenting, ‘Why do y’all keep letting her say n-gga?’,” she said, urging Yachty to defend her. However, Yachty’s response was clear and firm, “That won’t happen. You shouldn’t say it.”

As of now, Karrahbooo has not commented publicly on her exit from the Concrete Boys. Lil Yachty’s live announcement was the first official word on the matter, leaving fans to speculate on the potential reasons behind the split. Despite the departure, Yachty’s message remained supportive and positive, highlighting his hope for Karrahbooo’s future success in the music industry.

The Concrete Boys, led by Lil Yachty, will continue to evolve and grow, even as they navigate the changes within their ranks. Karrahbooo’s departure marks the end of a chapter for the group, but both parties seem poised to move forward, focusing on their respective paths in the ever-competitive music landscape.
