According to recent news, a scammer is seemingly going around posing as Lil Baby’s booking agent after a representative of the singer canceled his appearance at DC gay pride event.

Here is everything you need to know.

Was Lil Baby slated to appear in DC for a gay pride event?

Pride In The District announced in their flyer that Lil Baby was scheduled to headline their event that will take place on 28th May at a party at the nightclub.

However, the organization later revealed that the Atlanta-bred rap star’s appearance advertisement has been a mistake.

It appears like Lil Baby’s name should not have been attached to the gay pride event in Washington, DC.

Pride In The District took to its official Instagram handle to confirm the news.

They outlined the post with a caption that read, ‘We have an update… Unfortunately [Lil Baby] was unaware of the booking and some despicable low-life is out there scamming people claiming to be a booking agent.’

They continued, ‘We will end this situation here and move forward.’

Furthermore, the Neighborhood Talk also went ahead to share a comment seemingly from Lil Baby’s representative.

According to reports, the 28-year-old singer was never involved in any sort of negotiations with Pride In The District to perform in the District of Columbia.

In addition, a representative of Lil Baby issued a statement to address the incident.

They wrote, ‘[Lil Baby] never even knew of this event and none of his team or agents were ever in contact with Pride In The District. A scammer must have posed as a rep of his.’

They added, ‘Lil Baby never pulled out of anything with this as he was never booked or contacted in the first place.’
