LaTroya Grayson, an Oklahoma resident, has filed a lawsuit against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bad Boy Records, and associated companies, alleging sexual assault at a 2006 event in New York City. The case stems from an exclusive party hosted by Diddy, where Grayson claims she was drugged and assaulted after attending as a guest.

Allegations Detailed in the Lawsuit

The incident dates back to October 16, 2006, when Grayson’s sibling won a KJAMZ radio contest, earning round-trip flights to New York, accommodations, and two passes to an exclusive event organized by Diddy. Grayson and her brother traveled from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and stayed at the Roger Smith Hotel, with Atlantic Records reportedly covering the hotel costs.

LaTroya Grayson attended the event solo after being separated from her brother at the entrance. The party, originally promoted as a “White Party,” was renamed the “Black Party.” Throughout the evening, she mingled with celebrities, including Babz and Bonecrusher, taking photos to document the night. These photos were later included in her lawsuit as evidence.

Grayson alleges that waitresses circulated preprepared drinks at the event, two of which she consumed. Shortly afterward, she began to feel unwell and headed to the restroom, where her memory of the night ends.

The next morning, Grayson awoke at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center with no recollection of how she arrived there. She claimed to have been wearing a torn shirt, lacked underwear, and had only a small amount of money left. Grayson states that she was sexually assaulted but cannot identify her assailant.

Fear and Delayed Legal Action

After returning to Oklahoma, LaTroya Grayson says she received an anonymous phone call from a woman warning her against pursuing legal action. The caller allegedly told her that Diddy’s celebrity status would render any claims futile. Feeling intimidated and uncertain, Grayson decided not to report the incident at the time.

Over a decade later, Grayson, represented by attorney Ariel Mitchell, has decided to file a lawsuit. Her case comes amid a series of ongoing legal issues for Diddy, including charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution.

The lawsuit adds to the growing list of accusations against Diddy, raising questions about the culture of silence surrounding high-profile figures in the entertainment industry. Grayson’s allegations highlight the challenges survivors face in speaking out, particularly when the accused holds significant power and influence.

While the legal process unfolds, this case marks another critical chapter in addressing accountability within the world of entertainment and beyond.
