Kylie Jenner has responded to all of the allegations of plastic surgery. The Kardashians episode of Thursday featured Kylie Kardashian channeling Kourtney Kardashian as the two discussed the demands society places on them to be perfect. The beauty mogul, 25, adds that while it’s “normal to be insecure sometimes,” many people make incorrect assumptions about her self-esteem. “I remember always being the most confident kid in the room,” Kylie recalls. Despite the fact that I still love myself, one of the most common misconceptions about me is that I was this insecure child who underwent so much surgery to change my entire face. That is simply not true; I have only had filler work done.”

She continues, “I feel like I don’t want that to be a part of my story.” The Kylie Cosmetics founder also admits to manipulating her images in the past because the family has “so much influence” that they should use to encourage others to love themselves better. As Khloé, 39, begins to criticize her own appearance, Kourtney, 44, tells her that everyone should be confident “even in your imperfections,” before admitting that she was just thinking about how high the world’s “beauty standards” are. “I possessed the most confidence; I was chubby & in a skin-tight body-con dress — you weren’t able to tell me otherwise,” says the Good American designer. The 25-year-old reality star and makeup mogul discussed the pressures of today’s beauty standards with sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian during the new episode of The Kardashians, released on Thursday (July 20). Additionally, she revealed the work she’s had done on her face. “I always remembered being the most confident kid in the room,” Kylie said. “I’ve always embraced myself – and I still do – but one of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I was this insecure child with so much surgery, to change my entire face, which is false; I’ve only had fillers.” “I don’t feel like I would like that to be a part of my story,” Kylie continued. Kylie then talked about how much “impact” and “power” she and her sisters have, and the way it has altered other people’s beauty standards on social media. Rather than being insecure, Kylie said that “I don’t know why I see so many young girls on the internet nowadays editing themselves to death.” She also experienced that stage herself, and while she feels as if she’s in a better place now, she believes that other people can instill insecurities in us. In addition, Kylie explained to her sisters that they had caused one of her insecurities. “You don’t realize how much you guys always talked about my ears?” Khloe stated that she only ever commented on Kylie’s ears because she adores them.

That messed me up.” She went on to explain that she “never thought about my ears” until her family began making jokes about them. Following that, Kylie stated that she “never wore an updo” on a red carpet or to an event for the next five years. “Then I had Stormi, and she has my ears, which made me realize how much I love them,” Kylie continued. “If I’m self-conscious about my ears and think my daughter is perhaps the most beautiful thing ever, I wear updos to every red carpet.” Later, Kylie added that she is frequently asked how she stays “so strong” when people are continuously talking about her and making up rumours about her, and that the “more it happens,” the more powerful she becomes, although it “can be a dark place” at times. “You also have to realize that, no matter what drama I’m going through on social media, I’m blessed with an incredible personal life — I have the kids, I have incredible family and friends who know who I am,” Kylie said.
