Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann Face $5,000 Bill in Divorce Battle: Parental Fitness Evaluator Needed

The ongoing divorce saga between reality TV personality Kim Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann has taken another legal turn, as the estranged couple has been court-ordered to fork over $5,000 for a parental fitness evaluator. This evaluator, Dr. Leroy E. Reese, Ph.D., will assess whether Zolciak and Biermann are fit to continue as guardians to their four children: Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren.
According to obtained documents, Dr. Reese’s evaluation will shed light on the parental fitness of both parties, with the possibility of a custody evaluation if the initial assessment doesn’t yield favorable results. However, the evaluator is not authorized to suggest which parent would be more suitable for guardianship.
The financial burden of this evaluation falls equally on Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, with each required to contribute $2,500 toward the bill. Despite these legal proceedings, representatives for either party have remained silent on the matter.
This court-ordered evaluation comes amidst a turbulent divorce, marked by financial strain and contentious altercations that have necessitated police intervention. In a series of incidents, Kim Zolciak has reported confrontations with Biermann, including allegations of being locked out of their home and feeling unsafe due to his behavior.
Their marital discord reached a boiling point last November when one of their children called the police after witnessing a physical altercation between their parents. Video footage captured Biermann accusing Zolciak of infidelity, adding fuel to the already fiery divorce proceedings.
Since filing for divorce in May 2023, the couple has experienced periods of reconciliation and subsequent separation, culminating in their mutual agreement that the marriage was no longer viable.
