Since addressing the controversy surrounding Balenciaga’s ad campaign, Kim Kardashian has faced a great deal of backlash. She is now facing backlash from the internet for letting North West wear a gimp mask. Since releasing an ad campaign featuring children holding teddy bears in bondage costumes, the luxury fashion house has received tremendous criticism. Netizens also noticed a legal document regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on a child pornography case in the brand’s photoshoot. It came as no surprise that netizens were stunned.

After Balenciaga’s now-condemned gift collection ads made headlines, Kim Kardashian responded. After the Skims founder appeared to suggest she would continue to work for the brand in her statement, netizens were dismayed. A statement was posted by the television star on Twitter and her Instagram story on 28th November. “I am dismayed and outraged” by these campaigns, she said. According to her tweet, “as the mother of four, the disturbing images have disturbed me.” She also stated that she spoke with the Paris-based fashion house and was confident they understood the “seriousness of the situation” and would take the necessary steps to prevent it from happening again in the future. The future of my relationship with Balenciaga is currently being reevaluated.” Balenciaga’s ad campaign has been apologized for, the disturbing images have been taken down from both their social media channels and official website, and a lawsuit has been filed against the photoshoot’s creatives.
She should be ashamed, but Kanye was the one who approved this particular “outfit” for the kid. They both suck.
