Kim Kardashian’s iconic mobile game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” is bidding farewell after a decade of glam and fame. Launched in June 2014, the game allowed fans to ascend to A-list stardom through events, acting, modeling, club appearances, and dating. Despite being free, players could enhance their rise to stardom by purchasing “K stars.”

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Kardashian expressed her gratitude to the Glu team and the loyal players who contributed to the game’s success over the past decade. “This journey has meant so much to me, but I’ve realized that it’s time to focus that energy into other passions,” she said, thanking those who worked behind the scenes.

The game has been removed from Apple and Android app stores. Users with the app on their devices can continue playing until April 8, as indicated by a notice upon login and a countdown timer marking the app’s impending shutdown.

Kim Kardashian’s mobile venture was a massive success, reaching nearly $200 million in annual revenue just a month after its 2014 launch. Family members, including Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kris Jenner, were featured in the game, alongside digital appearances by celebrities like André Leon Talley and NeNe Leakes.

Talley, who promoted his avatar adorned in Valentino creations and custom suits on Instagram, expressed his enthusiasm for the game. “Love, Love, Love, the Kim game. And so thrilled to be part of the scene in my gorge Valentino caftan I wore to her wedding in Paris, at the Versailles leg of the venture.”

As fans bid farewell to a decade of virtual stardom, Kim Kardashian reflects on the community built around the game. While the mobile sensation is coming to an end, Kardashian remains forever inspired by the shared experiences within the virtual realm.

The closure of “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” marks the end of an era in mobile gaming, leaving behind a legacy of digital fame and fortune that captivated millions around the world.
