Reality TV star Khloé Kardashian has revealed that she underwent a cosmetic procedure to fill an indentation on her face caused by the removal of a tumor. The Kardashians star, 40, shared the candid details on Snapchat, explaining how the surgery to remove the tumor two years ago left her with a noticeable indentation in her cheek.

Khloé, who is known for being transparent about her health journey, took to social media on Friday to share her experience. “As a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed, I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face,” she wrote. The surgery, which involved removing a skin cancer tumor, left her with a dip in her cheek that required careful medical follow-up before any cosmetic corrections could be made.

The Good American co-founder revealed that she had to wait for almost a year after her surgery before opting for fillers. “I waited 9 months after surgery to get the indentation filled,” Khloé Kardashian explained. The delay was necessary to ensure her safety and allow the skin to heal properly. “We had to make sure medically everything was safe and my doctor gave me the go ahead,” she added.

To further illustrate the process, Kardashian shared before-and-after images showing the transformation. “Indent before injections,” she captioned a close-up image of her cheek, where the indentation is clearly visible. She then followed it with a picture labeled, “Indent after one round of injections,” which showed a smoother appearance after the procedure. “You can see the difference between the before and after,” she remarked, showcasing the significant improvement in the treated area.

Khloé Kardashian first addressed her facial surgery back in February 2023, when a curious fan inquired about the bandage on her face. She responded, “A bandage 🩹 I had a tumor removed from my face but I’m totally ok. Thank you for asking ❤️,” reassuring her followers that she was recovering well.

In October 2022, Kardashian had already spoken out about her predisposition to skin cancer, encouraging her followers to be vigilant about regular skin checks. “I am [predisposed] to melanomas. … I am someone who wears sunscreen every day religiously, so no one is exempt from these things,” she emphasized, highlighting the importance of sun protection and early detection.

This wasn’t Khloé’s first health scare involving skin cancer. When she was 19, doctors discovered a malignant mole on her back. In a 2016 blog post, she shared that she had 8 inches of skin removed to prevent the cancer from spreading. “It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time the removals haven’t been that bad,” she wrote, adding that she was thankful the majority of her moles had not been cancerous.

Khloé’s openness about her health challenges has resonated with her fans, who appreciate her transparency. Her experience underscores the importance of regular skin screenings and the need to take action when something unusual is detected. Now, with the cosmetic correction complete, Kardashian is not only cancer-free but also feels confident in her appearance once again.
