Kerry Washington: As per the reports, the feature film of Diane Cardwell’s memoir, Rockaway: Surfing Headlong Into a New Life, is produced and written by NAACP Image Award winner Nichelle Tramble Spellman.
Kerry Washington is all geared up for her upcoming movie, in which she is all set to star as Rockaway. The 44-years old actress will be staring as a Manhattan journalist, who unexpectedly discovers the life of surfing and decides to run towards a life of romance and in eclectic Rockaway Beach.
Kerry Washington has also starred in a lot of different hit movies and has earned a lot of appreciation over the years. She is also a director and gained wide public recognition for starring Olivia Pope
Liza Chasin will produce with her 3dot Productions under a deal with the streamer. It will also have Todd Shuster for Aevitas Entertainment. Executive producers will be Cardwell and Margaret Chernin. Washington previously worked with Netflix on the movie musical Prom. Now she will return in the upcoming fantasy adaptation The School for Good and Evil. CAA, Washington Square Arts, and Hansen Jacobson have repped her to work for them.

The story will revolve around the journalist a.k.a Kerry Washington, and her life journey of wanting love relationships and surfing. The star opposite will be Charlize Theron, Laurence Fishburne, and Michelle Yeoh in the movie. Published in July 2020, “Rockaway: Surfing Headlong Into A New Life”.
It will tell about Cardwell’s own reinvention as she’s now leading to a life full of romance and surfing. Kerry will also be starring in a Netflix Musical “Little Fires Everywhere”, “American Son” and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Netflix musical “The Prom”. It wrapped its shooting during the lockdown. She signed a full 3 years contract with ABC Studios, and she now also has a Production Company Simpson Street.
