When Harris took the stand on Wednesday (14th December), her testimony was confusing. Some of her previous statements to prosecutors were recanted and she attempted to avoid answering questions. The prosecution questioned Tory Lanez on Wednesday about bribery allegations against Harris. In her response, she offered a muddied denial, adding another perplexing layer to the story.

During her return to the witness stand, Kelsey Harris clarified her denials of the bribery allegations on Thursday. A lawyer for Tory Lanez asked Harris whether she had ever been paid by his client. “No,” she responded, according to Law & Crime’s Meghann Cuniff. This is something I would like to emphasize very clearly. There are some things I’ve seen … And this line is getting old. Kelsey requested immunity from prosecution for her testimony, RadarOnline.com reported. Los Angeles District Attorney Kathy Ta reminded her that Kelsey’s immunity does not extend to perjury – meaning she can still be prosecuted if she lies under oath during Tory’s trial. She changed her story on the stand, saying she had difficulty remembering the incident. Tory Lanez is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. She admits sending a text saying Tory Lanez shot her but claims it was based on “assumptions.” He faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison if convicted.
