All of this reportedly happened after Kelly was unhappy with the dressing room allocated to her. A source told Page Six about the whole issue, stating, “Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 a.m hour.”

According to reports, the dressing rooms at the Today show are small and can even be described as “glorified closets,” according to a source. Furthermore, the source told Page Six about the dressing rooms, stating, “They’re not nice. It’s the oldest building. There are major space limitations, [it’s] not glamorous.”
It further described the dressing room as “It’s not fresh flowers, candles, and gourmet food. It’s basically [a] white box.” In fact, Kelly’s team requested the green room upstairs, but it was already allocated to Jennifer Lopez. Allegedly, attempts to provide other options to Kelly didn’t work either.

An insider informed Page Six, “They didn’t want that. [The show] basically offered up as much as possible, but they weren’t happy with it, so they walked and they left.” Certainly, after Kelly’s exit, everyone associated with the morning show was left shocked.
