Therapists have seen and heard it all, from embarrassing moments to emotional outbursts. Among them is a patient wearing full Guardians of the Galaxy makeup thanks to Karen Gillan. Marvel keeps the details about its upcoming movies under wraps, maintaining a tight lid on every plot twist, character cameo, and surprising twist while drip-feeding information to fans through posters and trailers. While the stars are required to keep it secret, Gillan allowed her therapist a sneak peek at her character in the latest Guardians of the Galaxy film when she appeared for a session while it was being shot.
A screenshot of the bizarre moment was shared on Twitter in celebration of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3’s release this week. To celebrate Guardians of the Galaxy’s release this Friday, Gillan shared a screenshot of the time she forgot to schedule a couples therapy session on the day we were shooting. Unfortunately, Gillan did not disclose how her therapist responded to this bizarre encounter. As you can see from the screenshot, Gillan was accompanied by her husband, comedian Nick Kocher, who did not appear phased. As opposed to that, it was more of a, ‘well, it looks like this is going to happen’ sort of attitude.
Karen Gillan Turned Up As Nebula, Her Character In Guardians of the Galaxy, At A Couple’s Therapy Session Once
The dedication of Karen Gillan during the filming of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 appeared to be unwavering – until she forgot she had an appointment with a therapist. As a celebration of Guardians of the Galaxy, here is a screenshot of the time I forgot to schedule a COUPLES THERAPY session on the day we were shooting, the 35-year-old actress, who plays Nebula in the film, tweeted on Wednesday. Aside from Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Pom Klementieff, the Selfie alum reprises her role as the blue-toned cyborg in Volume 3 of James Gunn’s superhero trilogy. In the final instalment, the gang will search for a way to protect one of their own while defending the universe, still reeling from Gamora’s loss (Saldana). In May 2022, the Ireland native wrapped up filming the film and described the process of changing into her costume – including prosthetics and black contact lenses – as a four-hour experience. Karen Gillan told the Daily Record in April 2019 that prosthetics are tough. Action is especially important when there is a need for it. The worst part is that your sweat won’t go anywhere under all that makeup and costume, so sometimes people’s sweat will squirt out when it’s taken off.
This is probably worse for them than for me, but it’s still embarrassing. In 2014, Karen Gillan made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Guardians of the Galaxy. She has appeared in seven films since then. The Bodies, Bodies, Bodies actress has also been busy in her personal life, revealing to the public and her fans that she and Nick Kocher got married this year. Her wedding was last May… as captured by @hollyclarkphotography, she wrote via Instagram in February alongside images showing her in her wedding gown, bagpipe players and her bridesmaids. As a follow-up to Karen Gillan’s secret social media upload, Holly Clark’s photographer also shared a snap of the Avengers: Endgame star just before her nuptials, which took place in Scotland at Castle Toward. The beautiful @karengillan on her wedding day. Karen’s Scottish celebrations will remain private, but she looked absolutely stunning and the speeches were some of the funniest we’ve ever heard! Her caption featured a picture of the Jumanji actress laughing. For her part, wedding planner Sarah Haywood shared the same image on Instagram.
