Kanye West unfollows Nicki Minaj after she called him ‘clown’ last week

Kanye West has officially removed Nicki Minaj from his friend’s list after he unfollowed the Queen rapper on Instagram.

Nicki Minaj was one of the major headliners at the 2022 Essence Festival of Culture held in New Orleans.
On the 4th July holiday weekend, while performing her set at the live event the fierce rapper took a dig at Kanye West as she opted out of singing her verses of single Monster. It was a collaborative project featuring West, who changed his name to Ye, back in 2010.
Moreover, according to HipHopDX, after telling the emcee to pull the plug on the song, Minaj went on to dub Ye a ‘clown.’
She reportedly told the crowd, ‘I’m ‘Monster’-ed out, and we don’t f**k with clowns.’
It remains unclear why the Minaj is suddenly throwing jabs at Jesus Is King artist. However, some fans believe that the beef between the rappers may have started a couple of years ago.
As per the speculations, Minaj is holding a grudge against Ye for taking off her verses in their collab joint titled New Body that never came to light. Furthermore, instead of dropping his unreleased track with Minaj, the 45-year-old musician released Jesus Is King in 2019.
While talking with The Shade Room in an interview, the Anaconda singer revealed that they were not ‘seeing eye to eye on it.’
She also confirmed that West wanted to change her verses, ‘four times over in order to fit into where [West] was creatively and spiritually, only to then go on the internet a few months later to see [West] on Drink Champs.’
On the other hand, fans noticed that Minaj called out Ye on the same day as he announced the new single Hot Sh*t with Cardi B and Lil Durk.
