Kaley Cuoco Discloses That She Lost A Part To Kate Hudson In ‘Knives Out 2’

The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco recently revealed that she lost a much-coveted part to Kate Hudson in the Knives Out sequel.

Cuoco sat down with Glamour magazine earlier this week to promote the second season of HBO Max’s series, The Flight Attendant. She will not only star in the upcoming season but also take the seat of the producer. During the interview, the star opened up about the one part that got away.

Actress Kaley Cuoco was asked if there was ever a character she wanted to play but never got the chance even after her success with the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

Cuoco then disclosed that she auditioned for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 2. However, it was looked in the favor of academy award winner Kate Hudson who eventually landed that part. She mentions that she even had her bags packed to join the crew at the shooting location.

The 36 years old actress further added that “she cried all night long” after she was turned down for the sequel of Knives Out.

The Netflix-backed murder mystery was filmed in Greece. Original actor Daniel Craig will return for the sequel along with the 42-year-old actress. We will also see new faces such as Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Madelyn Cline, Jessica Henwick, as well as Ethan Hawke.

Kaley Cuoco To Star in rom-com Meet Cute alongside Pete Davidson

While talking to Glamour Cuoco shared that after being turned down for Johnson’s sequel she received a screenplay for the upcoming romantic comedy film Meet Cute.

Even though Cuoco loved the script of Meet Cute and probably would have not starred in it if she had featured in Knives Out 2, she was still disappointed to miss the coveted role.

Filming of Meet Cute was completed last year in August. However, no official announcement has been made about the release date of the rom-com.

Similarly, the premiere date of Knives Out 2 has also not been confirmed as of yet. Though it is speculated to hit the theatre screen’s this year in autumn. The production of the sequel was wrapped in September 2021.

Nonetheless, Cuoco’s HBO mystery series, The Flight Attendant’s second season is to drop on the 21st of April.
