Kai Cenat Claims Twitch Blocked His Rolling Loud Reaction Due to High Viewership

After a 15-day break, Kai Cenat, the Twitch sensation and two-time Streamer of the Year, returned to his platform on December 15, 2024, to celebrate his birthday. During the celebratory livestream, fans urged the popular content creator to react to the Rolling Loud Miami 2024 music festival. However, Cenat revealed that Twitch had prohibited him from streaming or reacting to the event.
The 23-year-old disclosed that Twitch’s decision was tied to his immense popularity. According to Kai Cenat, the platform told him he couldn’t broadcast anything related to Rolling Loud or Amazon Music because of his large audience size. Recounting his exchange with Twitch staff, he shared:
“I asked Twitch, ‘Can I react to Rolling Loud or music performances?’ They said no. I asked, ‘Why?’ They replied, ‘Because you have a lot of viewers.’ So, everyone else can react to it, but I can’t.”

Kai expressed his disbelief at the decision, suggesting that his reactions would bring more attention to the event rather than detract from it. He explained:
“I would think it’s good for the festival. All these festivals aren’t letting me react to them because I pull in more viewers, and it messes up their plans. But isn’t that more exposure? It’s crazy, bro!”
He also explained the risks of streaming Rolling Loud on his channel, stating that doing so could result in a DMCA strike or copyright claims. Such penalties, he said, could lead to a ban or even the loss of his Twitch account:
“The people would DMCA me, copyright me, and strike me. I don’t want to get banned. If that happens, I lose my channel, and it’s over.”

In the same livestream, Kai Cenat addressed speculation about his relationship status, officially announcing that he has a girlfriend. While he did not reveal her identity, he made it clear to his audience:
“You’ve seen a lot of stuff and run with it, but yeah, I got a girlfriend, b**ch!”
Despite the restrictions and challenges, Twitch continues to recognize Kai Cenat’s contributions to the platform. In a notable gesture, the streaming platform recently featured the New Yorker on a billboard in the iconic Times Square, cementing his status as one of Twitch’s most influential creators.
