According to reports, longtime couple Julie Bishop and David Panton are no longer together. In a recent interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, the latter stated that they had split up. quoting Panton
“I’m going to be focused on living in Manly and Melbourne for the foreseeable future. I wish Julie all the best in her ongoing stellar career.”
Bishop and Panton split up after the former revealed to The Daily Telegraph in 2020 that they had to rely on internet contact because they were unable to meet in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic:
We use FaceTime. It’s not ideal, but it’s the best you can do since I can’t travel there without obtaining an exemption and he can’t enter her (WA). I am aware that many families have been split up in this way, and it is very traumatic. It is quite difficult.
According to reports, David Panton and Julie Bishop have been together for eight years and supposedly began dating in 2014. The pair was sighted at a dinner reception held by Prince Charles at St James’ Palace in London just one week before their breakup.

In addition to serving as the director of Pantonic Health, a business that has significantly aided in the provision of COVID fast antigen tests, David Panton is a well-known real estate developer. He co-runs the business at the moment with his daughters Sally and Laura.
Panton first started a company in the real estate development sector before focusing on the pharmacy industry and co-owning a vineyard with his ex-wife. The businessman, who was formerly based in Melbourne, relocated to Harbor City in 2014.
Following a snapshot of the two at the 2014 Melbourne Cup, he made his relationship with Julie Bishop public that same year. After accompanying Bishop to New York for her position at the UN headquarters the next year, Panton garnered media attention.
The couple kept up their long-distance relationship over the years. The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Julie Bishop as saying that the couple’s common passion of fitness was the reason they fell in love. She uttered:
“That’s self-evident – have you seen him? He’s a swimmer. I’m a runner.”
David Panton has recently accompanied Julie Bishop to a number of red carpets and important occasions, including the wedding of Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarborough in 2018. In 2017, he and Bishop even got to meet former US President Donald Trump.
Sadly, Panton and Bishop recently made the decision to terminate their eight-year romance, and Panton formally announced their split in an interview.
