An official from the Bureau of Corrections(BuCor) confirmed Jonel Nuecza as dead inside the Bilibid. The investigation is in proceedings for finding out if there’s any foul play.
Who was Jonel Nuecza?
Jonel Nuecza was born on October 17, 1974. Jonel was 47 years old. Jonel was a native of Urdaneta, Pangasinan. Jonel resided in Paniqui, Tarlac. Jonel Neucza was married to Leilanie Aquino Nuecza. The pair had a daughter named Elisha Aquino Nuecza. The couple’s daughter is just 13 years old. Jonel was a policeman.
Crime Commited
In December 2020, Jonel Nuecza was involved in a neighbor dispute. Where he shot the mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac. Neuza, being a policeman was off-duty at the time of the incident. His 13-year-old daughter was present at the incident. Philippine National Police was questioned for the discipline of its members when the video went on viral.
The victims were 25-year-old, Frank Anthony Rufino and his mother Sonya Rufino Gregorio who was 52 years old. Jones had faced charges in past but continued with his job. Jonel was suspended for 10 days in 2010. In 2013, Jonel was again charged for his behavior during his obligation. In 2014, he was accused of extortion by National Police Commission. In 2019, he was charged with homicide. But the lack of evidence got the case dismissed. Then later, he murdered a young boy and his mother. The video of the convicted crime went on viral on social media after an argument over the use of Boga.
Jonel Nuecza was held guilty on August 26, 2021, by The Paniqui, Tarlac Regional Trial Court. The fine of $952,560 was held on him to the victim’s family. Jonel was sentenced to life in prison for his every committed crime.
Jonel Nuecza’s Daughter
Jonel Nuecza’s daughter is 13-years-old. She was present there at the incident place. Even she was siding with his father. The daughter was boasting about his father as a policeman to the woman.
According to Philippine Commission on Women, rather than judgment, she needs appropriate care and rehabilitation.
Jonel Nuecza Cause of Death
On November 30, 2021, Jonel Nueczawas brought to jail’s hospital after he collapsed in New Bilibid Prison. He was walking out of the dormitory and collapsed at the moment. The cellmates bought him to the hospital around 6:30 p.m. Then at 6:44 p.m, Jones was declared dead. The cause of death is unknown. The investigations are going on to know if there has been any foul play.
