Jonathan Majors’s second day of trial became a meme fest after the actor asked his white British ex-girlfriend to act like prominent historic black woman Coretta Scott King. The Marvel star Jonathan Majors’s ex-girlfriend took the evidence on Tuesday, December 5, and recounted a history of psychological and physical abuse in the actor’s assault trial, which is presently continuing in New York. Jonathan Majors, who was on the verge of stardom, became embroiled in a domestic violence issue after being arrested in March 2023 for allegedly assaulting his fiancée, Grace Jabbari. Majors allegedly assaulted Jabbari when he discovered a text message from another lady on his phone. Majors face misdemeanour assault, aggravated assault, and harassment charges. Prosecutors alleged Majors on Monday, December 4, of causing a “manipulative sequence of psychological abuse” and physical abuse on his former girlfriend Jabbari, whom he met in 2021.

Jabbari testified on the second day of the trial, detailing a difficult and dominating two-year relationship that ended in an assault on March 25. Prosecutors also showed an audio clip taken by Jabbari, a White UK resident, during a debate with Majors last year during which he asked that she act like Michelle Obama or Coretta Scott King. Prosecutors used a video of black activist and novelist Coretta Scott King, the wife of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr, to portray Majors as a controlling abusive lover prone to violent behaviours when he didn’t have his way with Jabbari.

The alarming disclosures made on the second day of Jonathan Majors’ domestic abuse trial, featuring a clip in which the actor asked that his white British ex-girlfriend act a bit like two prominent black women, Michelle Obama and Coretta Scott King, spawned funny parodies online. Prosecutors presented audio recorded by Jabbari during a dispute in September 2022 on Tuesday. During the trial, Assistant District Attorney Michael Perez alleged Jonathan Majors of a “cruel & deceitful pattern of psychological abuse” towards his ex-Jabbari, accusing him of frequently screaming and hurling items at her if his requirements were not met. The allegations echoed the recent Rolling Stones exposé, in which many people who knew Majors over the last decade, including production and crew members, claimed the actor, while frequently pleasant and courteous, was also prone to violent outbursts at work. Majors and his defence, on the other hand, have maintained his innocence, saying that Jabbari attacked him. During the first day of the trial, the defence pointed out that Jabbari went to a nightclub after being allegedly assaulted by Majors, thus calling the prosecutor’s claim that she was hurt into question. Prosecutors stated, however, that Jabbari accepted the suggestion from bystanders to shut out the alleged attack, as she had done previously.
