Young Chop’s younger brother Johnny May Cash was shot and murdered on Sunday, according to reports (April 17). Johnny May Cash was hit in the thigh and eventually died as a result of his injuries, according to an Instagram post. The message adds, “Chicago rapper Johnny May Cash, Young Chop’s brother, died today after being shot in the thigh.” “Many feel it has something to do with the viral video of him beating up a girl last month.”

Johnny May Cash brutally tosses a young woman against a wall twice while holding her hair, then strikes her in the head in the horrific video. To get away from the abuse, the woman eventually rushes away barefoot.

Johnny May Cash’s brother, Young Chop, has experienced his own set of problems. He was arrested in April 2020 for failing to maintain insurance, having an expired tag/registration, driving without a valid license, and being careless. He stated he was afraid of leaving Georgia’s Gwinnett County Jail during an Instagram Live session, believing someone had snitched on him. In the video, he says, “Hey y’all boys told on me.” “Man, those boys working with the folks. I’m hoping no one phones me while I’m on air. Young Chop is no longer a prisoner. This is insane.”
Only a few days later, the Chop was arrested again for breaking his probation. He was previously sentenced to probation after being charged with aggravated animal cruelty for allegedly starving a puppy to death. The charges came after Young Chop sparked a quarrel with 21 Savage and went hunting for him in his old Atlanta neighborhood, claiming he had been shot. Apart from stating he “done lost his mind,” Savage didn’t say anything.
