While Jacob Elordi and Joey King not only shared an on-screen romance for The Kissing Booth movies but also saw the movie pave the way for the duo’s off-screen blooming love. However, that didn’t last long, and they eventually parted ways.

Meanwhile, after all of that, Jacob Elordi even went on to criticize The Kissing Booth movies. Regarding it, he said to GQ’s Men Of The Year, “I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies. Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape.”

Though Jacob Elordi may not have found The Kissing Booth movies good enough for him, other cast members, including Joey King, don’t agree with what Jacob had said.

Joey King, speaking to Variety during the Balenciaga show, commented on the movie, saying, “I think it’s unfortunate anyone would feel that way.” She added, “I had a great time making those movies, no matter what anyone says.”

Meanwhile, another cast member of the movie, Taylor Zakhar Perez, also referred to Elordi’s comment as “shameful.”
