As reported by People, Joe Manganiello was spotted for the first time since Sofia Vergara announced that the couple had divorced after seven years of marriage. He was seen carrying Bubbles, the former couple’s dog, after a workout in Los Angeles on Saturday. He no longer wore his wedding ring after the divorce. Joe’s public outing comes less than a month after People reported on July 18 that Sofia Vergara & Joe are splitting after seven years of marriage. The pair addressed the news in a statement released with Page Six the day before, on July 17, admitting that it was a “hard decision.”

“We had to make the difficult decision to divorce,” the pair announced in a statement. According to divorce paperwork obtained by People, Joe filed for divorce two days after the news surfaced, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause for the divorce. He gave the date of separation as July 2. Sofia agreed to let Joe retain their 10-year-old Chihuahua-Pomeranian, according to Page Six. A source informed People that Sofia & Manganiello “differ enormously in style as well as what they like to do, nevertheless, during the marriage, each attempted to prioritise the other’s interests ahead of their own to make it work.” Another insider claims that the former couple had “ups and downs for a long time,” but they “always put on a good public face.”

Joe Manganiello had company in his first public appearance since divorcing Sofa Vergara. On Saturday, the 46-year-old actor was seen running errands in Los Angeles sans his wedding band, clutching the former couple’s dog, Bubbles. Manganiello seemed to have just done a workout, as he walked in a tank top, shorts and trainers. After seven years of marriage, the Magic Mike star filed for divorce in July, stating that the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place when they married in 2015. In court documents obtained by ET earlier, Troy Christiansen, Vergara’s lawyer, presented her own divorce response, stating “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for the divorce. The America’s Got Talent judge is also requesting that the courts enforce the prenuptial agreement, which states that she will leave the marriage with all of her separate property, which includes jewellery, artwork, and additional personal effects, as well as all earnings prior to, during, and after the date of separation. She is also requesting that all common property be divided between her and Manganiello in accordance with the prenup.

While Manganiello was out running errands, Vergara appears to be having a wonderful weekend with loved ones. The Modern Family actress, 51, initially shared photos of herself poolside with her niece, Claudia Vergara, enjoying rosé in their swimwear. The pair then went out to supper with friends Marisol Pieres and Margarita Heilbron. The Colombian diva then posed with her pals on what looks to be her patio on Sunday night, wearing a brown silk dress and carrying a small white dog. A Daily Mail reported that Manganiello would retain custody of his senior Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, Bubbles. Manganiello and Vergara began dating in 2014 after her engagement to billionaire Nick Loeb fell through. After getting Vergara’s phone number from her Modern Family co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the True Blood actor travelled to New Orleans to meet her. They got engaged after six months of dating. On November 22, 2015, in West Palm Beach, Florida, the couple officially married.
