Joe Budden has had enough beef with other artists throughout his career to talk about. One of the notable instances involves Jay Z and Eminem. While it’s not uncommon for artists in the same industry to have conflicts, Joe Budden and Jay Z have been no exception to this trend.
There has been a lot of drama surrounding Joe Budden’s track “Pump It Up” as well. It was reported to feature Jay Z, but that collaboration never happened due to the latter’s alleged demand for more money for his feature.
Not just that, another beef of Joe comes with Eminem too. Budden had referred to Eminem’s “Revival” album as “trash,” and that’s when things between the two artists took a turn for the worse.
Joe Budden doesn’t regret beefing with Jay Z and Eminem
Joe Budden recently talked about his past beef with artists like Eminem and Jay Z on a podcast. Although it seems like Budden doesn’t have anything to regret about those beefs with them. During The Pivot podcast, Joe was heard saying, “I don’t regret any of it because I pulled a lesson from it.”
Talking further about it he said, “All of the yesterdays lead to today. If i change one thing, then the outcome, the result is different”. Joe even talked about his time with Def Jam and Jay Z. He said, “I was a young on Def Jam trying to work on my second album”. Post which he shared about lots of artists from Def Jam having issues with Jay Z being president.

In The Pivot podcast, Joe Budden shared “This was the first time that a rapper, our peer, was calling the shots, in charge of DMX release date and LL release date, and none of us took that well. And I really didn’t take it well”. He admitted, “I didn’t handle myself well at all”. Budden said his intentions though were pure.
He shared “The intent is always for the better of everyone. It’s never a selfish act”. Budden added about Eminem saying “When I had my back and forth with Shady Records and Eminem, I was fighting for me and my brothers to get a better situation. What other fights? I was forgot all of them now…But there was good intent behind it all”.
