Jennifer Lawrence bagged some of the best movies to play a role in. Be it The Hunger Games or be it movies under the X-Men franchise. Lawrence has been appreciated for several of her roles. Although, this wasn’t the case with her 2017 film Mother.
Lawrence played the role of the unnamed mother alongside actor Javier Bardem. Though upon its release the movie didn’t get fairly enough positive reviews. As viewers went on to criticize the poor acting of the lead actors including Lawrence and Bardem. The plot of the movie was too found to be disturbing to many.
Jennifer Lawrence didn’t understand her own movie Mother
It was recently that Jennifer Lawrence opened up on her 2017 film Mother. As talking to Andy Cohen the question asked her how much she understood her movie Mother “on a scale of one to totally confused” she gave a shocking reply.
Lawrence to Cohen said, “I’m going to be honest. Well, I was sleeping with the director, so I had CliffNotes. So…five? Or a four. But if anybody needs any tips on understanding their films, you know what to do”. Not to miss, Mother movie’s director Darren Aronofsky and Lawrence were dating each other during the movie.
Darren and Lawrence broke up with each other two months after the release of the movie
During the filming of the movie Mother, both Darren and Lawrence were dating each other. Two months after the release of the movie they even parted ways. Lawrence had even broken silence on the reviews of Mother and how it impacted her.
Lawrence said she didn’t normally like to read reviews of her movie. However, she did have to face the reviews of her movie Mother. As she would get defensive upon coming across the reviews of her movies.
Moreover, she had also revealed to Vogue that during the movie Mother, she dislocated a rib and even hyperventilated.
