Jennifer Aniston has ‘debunked’ the truth behind the famous ‘Jennifer Aniston Salad’ that has been circulating on social media for quite a while.

Friends fans went gaga over the recipe when it was reported that Aniston had enjoyed the meal for ten years every day while filming the renowned sitcom.

However, the 53-year-old actress recently set the record straight over the viral salad trend.

During an interview with Elle Magazine, Jennifer Aniston has spoken about the viral salad recipe that went viral this year in May.

The salad recipe was shared by Lovely Delites food blogger, Hannah, which claimed to be the meal Aniston had on the sets of Friends.

However, the actress has denied eating the viral salad.

When asked about the viral salad trend, Aniston responded with ‘Well, that salad, dare I debunk that? That’s not the salad that I had every day on Friends.’

The Marley and Me star continued, ‘I feel terrible because it’s literally taken off like crazy. It looks like a delicious salad, by the way, but that’s not the one that I had on Friends.’

Hannah’s popular salad recipe had a unique take on a traditional Cobb. It included a bowl filled with red onion, cucumber, pistachios, parsley, mint, and a can of chickpeas.

As for whether Aniston would be willing to try the salad, the actress said, ‘I would never have that much chickpea in a salad, to be honest. Not good for the digestive tract.’

It was first linked to Aniston in 2010 when her Friends co-star Courteney Cox shared the details about the salad during an interview with the Los Angeles Times. 

The Scream star described it as a ‘doctored up cobb salad’. She mentioned that Aniston would prepare it for her female cast members every day.

The real Jennifer Aniston salad recipe

While many fans have already sworn by the ‘Jennifer Aniston Salad Recipe’, the actress herself has revealed the real recipe.

Her recipe includes ingredients such as shredded lettuce, egg whites, chicken, bacon, garbanzo beans, and basic vinaigrette.

Aniston shared that the chicken, bacon, and garbanzo beans need to be cooked first. Later you need to mix it all up in a bowl. 

The actress also shared that while she did not eat the aforementioned salad daily it was one of her favorites.
