Jason Momoa Slams His ‘Conan The Barbarian’ Film As “A Big Pile”

In an interview with British GQ for a profile, actor Jason Momoa criticized the 2011 remake of the 1982 movie in which he played the legendary sword-swinging figure.
Momoa admitted to British GQ, “I’ve been a part of a lot of stuff that really awful, and movies where it’s out of your hands.” “One of them was Conan. It was one of my favorite experiences, but it got ruined and turned into a huge pile of s***.
The movie did get off to a shaky start. Before Lionsgate acquired the film’s rights, Warner Bros. was having trouble with it. Before German director Marcus Nispel was hired in June 2009, Brett Ratner had been prematurely named as the film’s director. Momoa got the part in Jan 2010.
Momoa stated, “I’ve been in a number of movies where it’s out of your control and a lot of stuff that truly sucked. “One of them was Conan the Barbarian. It was one of my favorite experiences, but it got ruined and turned into a huge pile of crap.
People frequently assume that I just portray [macho characters], which is difficult, Momoa admitted. But I need to feel something; I need a change. Even the villain characters I portray now are out of the ordinary because of how things are evolving.

Additionally, he played a supporting role in the movie “Dune” from 2021, and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” will introduce a new Aquaman.
