Jane Marczewski, aka Nightbirde, passed away at the age of 31 on Sunday, February 20, 2022. An insider told TMZ about her death.

Several months had passed since the late singer received treatment. Despite this spread, cancer had also spread to her lungs, spine, and liver. Her health complications caused her to leave the show in August last year after participating in the 16th season of America’s Got Talent.

The Tragic Cancer Battle Of AGT Star Nightbirde

The stage 3 breast cancer that Jane Marczewski was diagnosed with in 2017 changed her life. The singer-songwriter underwent chemotherapy following her diagnosis, and in July 2018, she was declared cancer-free.

Having been involved in songwriting since the age of six, the Ohio native returned to music after beating cancer for the first time. Marczewski’s first single under her stage name came out a few months later, in March 2019. Her return to live performances came later that year, after more than a decade away.

Marczewski was warned that her prognosis for survival was only three to six months in 2019 after her cancer returned. However, further testing proved that she was cancer-free. Last year, she revealed to NBC4i.com that her cancer had recurred after her audition for American Idol.

Her cancer had spread to other organs when she was diagnosed. Marczewski shared that she had a “2% chance of surviving the audition, but 2% does not equal 0%.”

Jane Marczewski left her husband and moved to Los Angeles in February 2020.
