Jamie Foxx has spoken out regarding rumors surrounding his mysterious hospitalization in 2023, particularly addressing whether Sean “Diddy” Combs played a role. The 56-year-old actor and comedian has been busy filming his upcoming Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, which has sparked speculation due to comments Foxx reportedly made during the live tapings.
According to three eyewitnesses who attended the shows, Jamie Foxx appeared to mention Diddy’s involvement in his health crisis. However, the accounts from these audience members vary. Two attendees told Page Six that Foxx insinuated Diddy was responsible for his hospitalization and claimed that he was the one who reported the rapper to the FBI. Diddy, who is currently in custody facing serious sex trafficking charges, has denied any involvement through a representative, who told DailyMail.com there is “no truth” to the claim that Diddy had anything to do with Foxx’s medical emergency.

Adding fuel to the fire, celebrity security guard Big Homie .CC recently alleged in an interview that Foxx was poisoned by Diddy, which led to the actor’s severe health scare. Big Homie .CC stated that Foxx had personally shared this story during two of his comedy show tapings. The security guard also claimed that Foxx had contacted the FBI because of this incident, though no official statements have confirmed these allegations.
Meanwhile, videographer Choke No Joke, who attended two of the three Atlanta shows where Foxx performed, backed up the claim that Foxx accused Diddy of being responsible. Choke explained in an interview that Foxx was serious, not joking, when he said Diddy had done something to him and that Foxx was the one who informed law enforcement.
However, another attendee, Dennis L.A. White, recalled things differently. According to White, Foxx made it clear that Diddy was not responsible for the hospitalization, stating, “If he was, I would’ve been dead.” White also noted that Foxx did not mention the FBI or law enforcement during his performance, though he did talk about Diddy at length, even making light-hearted jokes about “baby oil.”
Jamie Foxx himself has yet to directly comment on the rumors, leaving fans and media outlets to speculate. He did, however, express his gratitude to his audience in Atlanta after the tapings, sharing emotional posts on Instagram where he thanked the crowd for their support. He described his performance as an “artistic explanation of something that went terribly wrong.”
Since his health scare in April 2023, which left him in a 20-day coma, Jamie Foxx has been gradually returning to the public eye. At that time, his daughter, Corinne Foxx, informed the public that her father had experienced a “medical complication,” though the exact details of his condition were never disclosed. Foxx later revealed during an appearance in Phoenix that he was hospitalized after asking for Advil for a severe headache, but he still has no memory of the incident.
As for Diddy, he is currently being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, facing multiple charges related to sex trafficking. Over 100 victims have come forward with accusations against the music mogul, and Diddy has pled not guilty to all charges.
While the full details of Foxx’s hospitalization remain unclear, his upcoming Netflix special will likely provide more insights, and fans will be eager to see whether any of these controversial comments make it into the final cut. Until then, the mystery surrounding Jamie Foxx’s health crisis and Diddy’s potential involvement remains unsolved.
