James Franco Assault Allegations Explained As The Actor Broke His Silence

James Franco, 43-year-old, opened about allegations against him for the misconduct in 2018 and shared about; his battle. The Spider-Man album broke his silence on the podcast; The Jess Cagle on SiriusXM. The episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, where James blames his sex addiction for his struggles. The actor shared that he kept his silence to examine his behavior and actions done; in past.

On the podcast, he also admitted that he indulged in physical relationships with his students. Further, he informed that those were consensual relationships with the students in his acting school in past. James fought with sex addiction for the past 20 years and underwent treatment. He left the addiction after getting treatment for alcoholism. James is currently dating Isabel Pakzad since 2017. He stated about cheating on many people before dating her.

Assault Allegations On James Franco Explained

In 2018, January the assault allegations on James Franco were by five females, from which four were his student. They reported to the Los Angeles Times and accused him of inappropriate behavior and sexual exploitation. In 2019, two females out of five filled a case against him. Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal were the ones who dragged him in court which, resulted in James paying 2.2 million dollars.

Later, the case was settled in June after the payment. They said that he was exploited at the Studio 4 acting school by James Franco. He was alleged for sexually exploiting them in the name of education at the acting school. All four were related to him in personal and professional terms. They added that he forced them to act in some questionable scenes inside as well as outside the school. Sarah also claimed that footage from the video aired on Vimeo without her consent. The footage was controversial and hurt her sentiments.

After the allegations, his acting school was discontinued in 2017. He said that there are stories that need to get out and people should hear. He informed fans that there; is a story from his side but, he wasn’t well pictured by people about this story. James Franco added that he will keep those things with him as he believes in it; so much. Because he does not want to refute things and just; keep believing them.

Franco Opened About His Addiction

James Franco, the Golden Globe Award Winner, faced allegations of misconduct in 2018 and had to pay a fine; in 2019. James was battling with alcohol addiction and walked on a road to recovery at the; age of 17. Also, Franco was, recovering from his sex addiction since 2016.
