James Corden will be leaving The Late Late Show. The news was confirmed by the television personality, but why is he leaving? Since 2015, James Corden has been hosting the Late Late Show on television, and fans have been adoring every minute of it. Unfortunately, 2023 will be his last, as he has decided to retire. The news was announced on April 28 and many people were taken aback.
WHAT IS JAMES CORDEN’S REASON FOR LEAVING?
James Corden’ choice to leave the show is not fraught with controversy. The simple reason is that he wants to get on with his life. The television star, who has been hosting the show since 2015, has decided it is time to move on. According to TVLine, James Corden stated that he considered leaving the show before deciding to stay. However, he now believes it is time to move forward.
“It’s been a really difficult decision to go since I’m so proud of the programme,” he remarked. I’m ecstatic to be getting a year extension. I originally planned to do it for five years and then leave, but I ended up staying. I’ve been considering it for a long time, wondering if there might be another adventure.”
WHAT HAS CBS DONE IN RESPONDING TO THIS NEWS?
James Corden’s decision was praised by CBS, which commended him for his contributions to the network. “Seven years ago, James Corden came to the United States and grabbed television by storm, with great creative and comic swings that resonated in a significant way with viewers on-air and online,” CBS president and CEO George Cheeks said. We wish he could remain longer, but we’re thrilled he chose CBS as his American home and that our cooperation will continue on The Late Late Show for another season.”
WHEN DOES THE SHOW COME TO A CLOSE?
While there is no official date for when the show will conclude, it has been established that the final episode will air in 2023. The majority of it will take place throughout the summer. In the past, superstars such as BTS, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian, and others have been on the show.
