The award-winning singer and songwriter, James Arthur is back with his long-term girlfriend Jessica Grist, a dancer, and a model, within six months after their split up.

The 33-year-old singer started dating Jessica Grist in 2012 after winning the X-Factor. Jessica was a backup dancer in the same season of the ITV show which James won. Jessica accompanied him to several shows and public events.

The couple seems to have had an on-off relationship for the past nine years. Sources revealed that the couple broke off their relationship in May 2021. They felt that they grew apart and the relationship has ‘run its course’.

This was not their first split up. It was believed that the couple had broken up in 2015, but reconciled within 2 years.

James Arthur is from Middlesbrough, United Kingdom. He has been writing songs and performing in bands from the age of 15. Jessica Grist, the 31-year-old celebrity dancer from England, was seen on shows like X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing. She was in the Royal Ballet for 3 years. Furthermore, she attended Performers College to study dance and musical theatre before rising to fame.

Grist has worked with Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo as backup dancers.

According to the Sun, the couple was seen together wearing designer outfits at a specialized car garage. The sources further revealed that in spite of being apart for six months, they have always been in contact, and got on very well. It was also said that people close to them are delighted with their reconciliation. and “there’s a definite chemistry and they’ve been together the best part of a decade.” They hoped this will be a ‘fresh start’ as “there was always something really good there.”

James Arthur released “It’ll All Make Sense in the End”

“It’ll All Make Sense in the End” was James’ fourth studio album released on November 5, 2021 post their split-up. This album was released after 2 years since his 2019 record, You.

The musician had written co-written the song “Medicine” along with George Tizzard, James Bell, James Arthur, and Rick Parkhouse, which preceded the album. ‘September,’ his second single from the same album had left everyone in tears.

He had put together an emotional ballad, ‘Emily’ which was a message to his future daughter. On Andy J’s An Hour with Podcast, he revealed that he wrote the song when his girlfriend was pregnant. Sadly, they lost the unborn child.

Post his album’s launch, James announced the UK and Eire tour. The tour is scheduled for March.  

Having sold over 30 million records worldwide, Arthur’s ‘Back From The Edge’ featuringSay You Won’t Let Go’ was a global hit.
