In typical fashion, Jake Paul didn’t hold back his words during a heated press conference on Sunday in New York City. As he continues to gear up for his highly anticipated boxing match with Mike Tyson, Paul took center stage at Fanatics Fest in the Javits Center. But instead of focusing solely on his upcoming fight, the YouTuber-turned-boxer made headlines for his harsh remarks toward the New York crowd.

The drama began when Paul was greeted with boos and chants of “F* Jake Paul” from hundreds of attendees. Never one to back down, Paul quickly shot back, targeting both the city and boxing legend Mike Tyson. “Hey New York, shut the f— up,” Paul exclaimed. “Boo yourselves. You’re just like Mike Tyson – you were good 20 years ago. F— you, dumb a Democratic city.”

Paul’s fiery comments come as no surprise to those familiar with his outspoken nature. Over the years, he’s made waves with his controversial statements, often mixing political commentary with his career in entertainment. Just last month, Paul garnered attention for his vocal support of former President Donald Trump, going so far as to claim that divine intervention saved Trump from an assassination attempt.

“I believe God stepped in and saved him,” Paul said at the time, referencing an alleged incident in Butler, Pennsylvania. He continued, “We need this guy to come back and make America great again.”

At Sunday’s press conference, however, politics were not the only thing on Paul’s mind. He and Tyson shared the stage, and the tension between the two was palpable. While Tyson maintained a calm and composed demeanor, Paul relentlessly taunted the former heavyweight champion, even joking about the delay in their fight due to Tyson’s medical condition. “He needed a menopause break,” Paul quipped, further stoking the flames of their upcoming bout.

Despite Paul’s provocative remarks, Tyson remained mostly unfazed, offering only a subtle prediction: “We got a YouTuber fighting against the greatest fighter of all time.” Still, Paul’s confidence never wavered. “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend,” he boldly stated, brushing off the boos and controversy swirling around him.

The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, initially scheduled for July 20, was postponed due to Tyson’s health but is now set to take place on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. As the fight date draws near, Paul’s outbursts and antics outside the ring have only added fuel to an already highly charged atmosphere.

With his latest remarks, Paul has once again positioned himself as both a lightning rod for controversy and a master of self-promotion. Whether his bravado will translate into success in the ring remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the world will be watching when Jake Paul and Mike Tyson finally square off.
