Jaden Smith has stated that his mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, introduced psychedelics to the rest of the Smith family. Last week, the 24-year-old son of Jada and Will Smith spoke at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver, Colorado. Jaden stated, “I believe it was my mother who was the first to take that step for the family.” It was just her for a long time, and then it just trickled and evolved, and everyone found it in their own ways. Jaden went on to say that psychedelics helped him strengthen his emotional bonds with his sister Willow, 22, and half-brother Trey, 30. Siblings can bicker and fight a lot, and Lord knows my siblings and I have done a lot of that in the past,” he remarked.

“But the level of affection and compassion that I can feel for them both inside and outside of the [psychedelic] experiences has been profound and beautiful.” The majority of the United States still prohibits the use of psychedelic drugs, with only Colorado and Oregon partially legalising them. Magic mushrooms are authorised for recreational usage in Colorado. Other notable attendees at this year’s conference included NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has previously spoken openly about his use of the South American psychoactive ayahuasca, and former Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry, who is an advocate for research into the potential benefits of psychedelics for veterans suffering from PTSD.

Psychedelics Were Introduced To Jaden Smith And His Family By His Mother, Jada Pinkett Smith

Jaden Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith’s eldest kid, said that his mother introduced their entire family to psychedelic drugs. The 24-year-old actor enthused about how using psychedelics improved his relationship with loved ones and increased his empathy for others when speaking at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver this week. ‘I believe it was my mother, actually, who was the first to take that move for the family,’ he added. ‘It was just her for a really, really long time, and then it simply trickled and evolved, and people found it in their own ways,’ says the author. Jaden went on to say that psychedelics had a ‘deep’ affect on his relationships with his sister Willow Smith, 22, and half-brother Trey Smith, 30, whom his father Will Smith has with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino. ‘Siblings can dispute and quarrel so much, and Lord knows my siblings and I have done so much of it in the past,’ the Entergalactic actor told USA Today.

‘But the level of affection and sympathy that I can feel for them within as well as outside of the (psychedelic) experiences has been intense and lovely,’ he concluded. Psychedelics, according to Jaden, help him and his family ‘open up’ their minds and ‘get out of the old patterns of thinking that got us into lots of these disputes and open it up so that it simply releases and makes room for you to work it out.’ Jaden did not disclose which psychedelics his family uses, but he and his family had discussed consuming magic mushrooms last year. ‘I believe mushrooms will aid in the expansion of consciousness. ‘The collection isn’t only about selling garments,’ he told Mr Porter Journal in 2022. It’s full of spiritual encounters and mystical states, he adds. We’re merely designing garments that can accompany individuals on their adventures. Jada Pinkett Smith confessed in 2019 that she used the drug ecstasy while battling depression.
