Jack Johnson is taking legal help to protect himself from an alleged stalker
Jack Johnson appeared in a Los Angeles court on Thursday. Moreover, he gave testimony against a woman who he claims poses a risk to his safety.
In addition, he added that the alleged female keeps showing up at his shows and hotels. He also mentioned that she constantly tries to get close to him.
Furthermore, the Better Together singer was called into a hearing where his testimony was strong enough to convince the judge and deem the women as dangerous. Hence, Johnson was granted a 5-year order of protection.
Additionally, the 5-year restraining order bars the woman from having any contact with Johnson, his wife Kim Baker, and their minor 16-year-old son.
Jack Johnson gets a 2-month restraining order against an alleged stalker
Jack Johnson was granted a two-month temporary restraining order in October 2022.
Besides that, the 47-year-old revealed that the alleged female stalker has been harassing him for several years.
Moreover, he claimed that she even ignored a cease and desist letter sent to her by his legal representatives.
Jackson told that the female usually buys VIP packages for his shows in order to get close to him. However, things escalated to the point where she confronted him at his hotel in Houston on the 26th of August.
Furthermore, he states that the woman got so close to his face that it frightened him. But the cops arrived just in time to detain her.
Jackson added that he is concerned for his safety since his location can be easily tracked due to his tour schedule.
Jack Johnson gears up to return to New Zealand in five years
Jack Johnson is all set to return to New Zealand for the first time in five years and he is stoked about it.
He talked about his previous experience in the country before his visit.
Johnson shared, ‘I’ve had a lot of fun times over the years just playing live shows and getting to visit those places we’re at but it’s also fun to just sort of disappear with just the family.’
Additionally, he said, ‘That time around, it worked out so perfect because I had just had my first kid and so all I wanted to do was write songs that you sing to little kids.’
