J. Cole surprised his fans by gifting them with a new song titled, Procrastination (Broke) which was released earlier this week.

Producer Bvtman confirmed on Wednesday night that a new song from J. Cole Procrastination (Broke) will be released soon.

Moreover, the track was officially released on YouTube the same day. In addition, it came along with a message seemingly from Cole himself who explains the history behind the song.

He began with, ‘On a day when I couldn’t find much motivation, I was looking for anything to inspire me.’

Additionally, he continued, ‘Out of curiosity, I typed in ‘J. Cole type beat’ into YouTube. Yours was the first I saw. I pressed play, focused, and wrote this.’

Furthermore, he shared that the song was not initially meant to release to the public.

Cole explains, ‘I don’t want to hold onto the music like that no more. This is for you and whoever else need to hear it. God bless bro and keep doing what you do!’

The father of two concluded the message by saying, ‘This is some s*** that would normally stay in the vault, but I don’t want to hold onto the music like that no more. This is for you and whoever else need to hear it. God bless bro and keep doing what you do!’

Fans believe that J. Cole is gearing up to release a new album

J. Cole recently wiped his Instagram handle clean. Moreover, this action has led fans to suspect that the singer might be planning to release a whole new record.

Traditionally, when an artist clears out their social media page it is supposedly followed either by new music or a forthcoming album.

Meanwhile, Cole last cleared his Instagram page before releasing the song, Middle Child in January 2019. The track was released as the lead single from his summer compilation album Revenge of the Dreamers III.

Besides that, fans have speculated that Cole’s potential upcoming album will most likely either be titled, The Fall Off or It’s A Boy. 

For the unversed, the 37-year-old musician has previously teased the aforementioned projects in 2020 during The Fall Off era.

In addition, it is rumored that Cole might serve as the executive producer in the soundtrack of the upcoming film Creed III which will star Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors.
