TikTok over the years has found its user base in every country. As even celebs can’t resist its use. Meanwhile, now as users are too much into it. US users are worrying if they will be able to use the app anymore or not.
Well, recently the rumours of the TikTok ban in the US came up and it has left all US users of TikTok worried. As this rumour arrived only after the Attorney General press conference that took place recently. That had issues of security raised in it which might be worrying TikTok users in the US.
Why did the rumour of the TikTok ban in the US arise?
Recently on 24th October, the Attorney General of the United States Merrick Garland had a news conference. Where with top Justice Department officials he addressed one of the crucial topics of national security issues. Which sparked rumours of the TikTok ban owing to security issues.
Not to miss, Mohammad Alyahya of Hudson University was the one who hinted about the possibility of the TikTok ban in the US. Further, in his tweet he wrote “Hearing chatter that the US will ban TikTok today. Chatter that Huawei will be banned today followed by TikTok”.
Is Tiktok to get banned in US?
Though there has been no official announcement on the ban of TikTok in the US till now. However, there have been rumours of it in so many places. In July, FCC commissioner Brendan Carr called for Apple and Google to remove TikTok from the app store.
The reason was again the same as a threat to national security. Moreover, the threat of data sharing with the Chinese government is something concerning the US. Yet, we haven’t got any official announcement to claim that TikTok will not be working in US. Meanwhile, users are surely concerned about the ban.
