Michael B. Jordan emerged unharmed from a car collision in Hollywood on Saturday night, as reported by EW. The 36-year-old, who serves as both the director and star of Creed III, was driving his blue Ferrari when it collided with a parked vehicle at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Beachwood Drive, according to Fox 11. A spokesperson confirmed that there were no reported injuries, no indications of reckless driving, and no arrests made. Despite being in good condition, Jordan chose to skip the Academy Museum Gala on Sunday night as a precaution. At the event, filmmaker Christopher Nolan presented Jordan with the 2023 Vantage Award in a ceremony that showcased the works of John Waters and Lourdes Portillo, as per a source close to the actor.

Jamila, the sister of Michael B. Jordan, graciously accepted the award on his behalf. The event paid tribute to notable figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Sofia Coppola, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr., Dua Lipa, Salma Hayek, Lupita Nyong’o, Jennifer Connelly, Selena Gomez, and Taraji P. Henson. In a significant milestone, Jordan made his directorial debut with Creed III this year, the third installment in the Rocky franchise. In this film, he reprised his role as Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, who was once Rocky Balboa’s adversary and later became his friend. Notably, Tessa Thompson and Jonathan Majors take on leading roles in this installment, marking the first film in the series without Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character, Rocky.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hollywood actor and producer Michael B. Jordan is doing fine after crashing his car in Hollywood on Saturday evening. The Creed 3 actor is said to have collided with another vehicle parked at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard & North Beachwood Drive. According to an insider close to Jordan, the actor is OK and unharmed as a result of the automobile accident, and he opted out of the Academy Museum Gala on Sunday night out of precaution. Michael B. Jordan had plans to attend the third annual star-studded gala, a fundraising event for the cinema museum. The museum presently showcases creations from directors John Waters and Lourdes Portillo, along with the 1991 film Boyz n the Hood. Jordan received this year’s Vantage Award from Christopher Nolan, which his sister Jamila collected on his behalf. He was slated to walk the red carpet alongside Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, and Sofia Coppola.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, no other vehicles were involved in the mishap, and no injuries were recorded after the LAPD arrived at the scene late Saturday night. In the aftermath of the automobile crash, representatives from the Los Angeles Police Department were unavailable for comment. Creed III, the third instalment in the Rocky offshoot franchise, marked Michael B Jordan’s directorial debut for MGM. After retiring as a world champion, Creed III is shown focusing on his family and developing the next generation of champion fighters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Damian (Jonathan Majors), a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, resurfaces after serving time in jail, and the erstwhile pals face off for the battle of their lives. Jordan is apparently set to star in a sequel to Will Smith’s 2007 film I Am Legend; Smith revealed Saturday that he is in talks with the Black Panther actor regarding the project.
