After struggling with fertility, finally, the couple Drew Scott and Linda Phan are expecting a baby. The couple has been together for 12 years and are married for almost four years now. With good news, they also shared the long fertility struggle, that they have seen, along with their IVF journey.
The new baby will be the first child of Linda phan and Drew Scott. Scott shared this news on their podcast’s episode, At Home, on Tuesday by saying, “cat is out of the bag, everyone. Linda is pregnant!”
The couple, Podcast producer, and the HGTV host have been doing family planning since 2018 and had to undergo several treatments such as IUI and IVF. Finally, In August, Linda Phan conceived. The couple will be welcoming their first baby in May 2022.

The caption says, “guess we’re doing weekly bathroom selfies now.” They even thanked the doctors, family members, and friends for all the support. They said, “it made an overwhelming time in our lives more manageable.”
The Motive Of Sharing Their Story
They feel like sharing their experience with others would help them on the path of parenthood. With this context they wrote, “It has been an adventure to go here! We know we are not alone in this experience and that everyone is filled with unique challenges along the way.”
They added, “We hope as we grow through this, that even one of you reading this can also feel a little less lonely in whatever path you are on!”
Talking about the hardships that they faced during this long process to start a family, Linda and Drew Scott shared their experiences on their podcast ‘At Home.’
At first, they opted for IUI treatment i.e., Intrauterine Insemination that did not succeed. Therefore they switched to IVF treatment i.e., in vitro fertilization, and this time it was successful.
Linda Phan said, “For a while, I was not sure how much I wanted to share, or if I wanted to share at all. Even with close family and friends, we did not tell them right away just because I needed to process the feeling myself before diluting it with other people’s excitement.”
Linda’s First Reaction On Her Pregnancy
After conceiving, she explained her feeling when she learned about her pregnancy for the first time. She said, “it is not that I was not excited, it was just really confusing because we got the news from our fertility Dr. and I guess it’s just not how I imagined it. Not that it made it disappointing in any way, I think I just had more of a sense of relief at first.”
