Mariah Carey is taking over social media and not for the right reasons. Moreover, social media users are having a field day with her recent Thanksgiving Day Parade show.

Here is everything you need to know.

Online users react to Mariah Carey’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Mariah Carey aka the self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Christmas’ recently performed at the Thanksgiving Day Parade for Macy on Thursday.

However, unlike her previous shows, online users are calling her out for her lack of movements during the performance.

The 52-year-old singer was flanked by the dancers while being dressed in a massive pink gown alongside a pink umbrella as she sang her iconic song, ‘All I Want for Christmas.’

Similar to her previous performance, Carey stood still during the parade show and did not join the dancers.

Meanwhile, sports journalist Ian Hest shared, ‘Mariah Carey is getting millions right now to just stand there with her umbrella, and honestly I’m not mad. Mad respect.’

Moreover, a Twitter user commented, ‘I love the lack of energy Mariah Carey gives in her performances. It’s the one thing we can all count on.’

Another user chimed in saying, ‘mariah carey getting paid to just stand there at the thanksgiving parade and not even pretend to be actually singing to the backing track lmfao queen behavior.’

Mariah Carey loses her bid to trademark the title ‘Queen of Christmas’

Mariah Carey was recently denied her legal attempt to trademark the royal title ‘Queen of Christmas.’

Moreover, the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board also ruled out the singer’s appeal to have exclusive rights to names such as ‘Princess Christmas’ and ‘QOC.’

Carey was trying to trademark these names in order to use them on her merchandise which consists of albums, fragrances, pet accessories, sunglasses, and among many more.

Singer Elizabeth Chan filed against the pop diva’s application. In addition, Chan’s came was supported by other artists such as Darlene Love who is best known for her tune Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).

Meanwhile, Chan commented on her victory against Carey in a press release.

She said, ‘My goal in taking on this fight was to stand up to trademark bullying. Not just to protect myself, but also to protect future Queens of Christmas.’

Besides that, Chan is recognized for her festive songs. She recently released her holiday record titled 12 Months of Christmas. It comes following her victory against Carey in the trademark case.
