Iggy Azalea responded to ex-Playboi Carti’s “serious abuse” after he was apparently arrested for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend. I’ve been there. Done that. Warned you, the Fancy rapper — whose real name is Amethyst Kelly — tweeted Tuesday after hearing about her ex’s arrest. Suppose you have a pregnant girlfriend and pretend they don’t exist until they find out you abuse them as well, she wrote in a follow-up tweet. Afterwards, Azalea, 32, said Carti, whose real name is Jordan Carter, rarely” visits their 2-year-old son, Onyx, since he’s “running from the problems you’ve got in Atlanta & the press about your serial abuse of women.

According to TMZ, the 26-year-old “Magnolia” rapper was arrested for felony aggravated assault in Georgia on Dec. 20, 2022, allegedly for choking his pregnant girlfriend. An arrest affidavit obtained by the outlet claims the woman was grabbed by the throat and pushed by Carti, who held her neck until she could barely breathe. Additionally, she told the police that she thought she was going to die.

The arrest of Playboi Carti was reported back on Dec. 29, 2022, but news of the arrest only surfaced on Monday (Feb. 13). As reported by TMZ, the alleged victim, who was 14 months pregnant at the time of the alleged incident on Dec. 20, 2022, claims Carti assaulted her after they argued over paternity.

The rapper choked her before a witness intervened, she claims. When the alleged victim attempted to call 911, Carti pulled her from her vehicle and covered her mouth. Police noticed “visible injuries” to the woman’s neck, chest, and back when they arrived. During the alleged incident, the woman – who was 14 weeks pregnant – told authorities that she and Carti had been dating for two years and had lived with him since the summer. According to Playboi Carti’s attorney Brian Steel, Mr. Carter was falsely accused in regard to his arrest. According to my communication with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, this case is being dismissed without prosecution or litigation. Playboi Carti and Iggy Azalea dated for a year and have a son named Onyx. As a result, she called out the rapper on the release date of his sophomore album Whole Lotta Red that December and claimed he was a deadbeat father. Iggy said last April that she had stopped communicating directly with Carti.
