The NFL star Patrick Mahomes’ fiancee Brittany Matthews announced the couple has selected a wedding date and location shortly after welcoming their newborn daughter Sterling.
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews are ready to celebrate their first child just over a week after welcoming it.
Fiancée of the NFL quarterback shared photos of the couple cuddling on Monday, March 1. Additionally, she announced that they had chosen a date and location for their upcoming nuptials.
“It’s wedding planning time [woman-with-veil emoji],” she wrote in the caption. “We have a date & place wahoooooo.”
While the fitness influencer did not share exact details about where or when the upcoming event would take place, she did include the hashtag #2022, meaning they have another year to prepare.
Brittany and Patrick, who are both 25, have both had a busy start to 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, Sterling, just nearly two weeks after Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.

Both Matthews and Mahomes attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, where they met. The couple moved to Kansas City together after he was drafted by the Chiefs, and began building their life together.
The couple announced a few weeks later that they had taken a detour on their wedding day and were expecting their first child. In February 2021, the couple welcomed their daughter Sterling into the world. This comes just a few days after Mahomes and the Chiefs lost Super Bowl LV.
Matthews and Mahomes shared their daughter’s photos on social media a few months after she was born. Matthews started documenting her first year as a mother once she decided to show Sterling off.
Although the couple has been sharing plenty of pics of baby Sterling over the past three and a half months, the couple is only now giving fans a peek at her adorable face.
Matthews shared on Instagram that the last day of breastfeeding her daughter had left her “emotional.” Matthews admitted she was “ready to be done,” but it wasn’t easy to stop.
Brittany Matthews Celebrates Her Upcoming Wedding
Matthews’ closest friends and family members celebrated her upcoming wedding on December 11. An NFL player’s future wife definitely deserved a wedding shower fit for the highest-paid player in the league.
In a professionally produced, high-quality video she posted to Instagram, Matthews is pictured at her extravagant shower. It featured red heart balloons, pillows, golden crowns, menus in the shape of playing cards, cocktails, and more.
White one-piece, fur-trimmed jumpsuit with a strapless neckline adorned Matthews’ look. In addition to white heels, gold hoop earrings, and a massive engagement ring, she is accessorized with white bracelets and hoop earrings.
On Matthews’ guest list, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Kayla Nicole, as well as Tyrann Mathieu’s fiancée Sydni Paige, were among the friends who attended her wedding. Emma Herrington, Mahomes’ cousin, posted photos of the event on her Instagram Story. The caption read, “Celebrating you today.”
