Virgil Abloh was the first African-American at the post of artistic director at a French Luxury Fashion House. He was also ranked as one of the most influential people in the world in 2018. The globally renowned fashion designer passed away on Sunday due to a rare form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma. He decided to keep this diagnosis private. The founder of a fashion house Off-White was battling the disease since 2019 and had numerous treatments.

Abloh worked as artistic director at Louis Vuitton Menswear Collection from 2018 till the present year. But, he collaborated with Mercedes in the year 2020 and took a break from fashion designing.
