David Diamante gets injured in a motorcycle accident. Diamante met with a motorcycle accident on Monday, December 20th. Concerns are growing around the globe as the Famous boxing announcer was injured in an accident pretty severely.

Who Is David Diamante?

David Diamante is a ring announcer associated with DAZN and hails from America. He is 50 years old, born on November 8, 1971.

He have the title of ‘The Voice of Boxing’ by BBC Sport. Another title in his name is given by GQ Magazine, given to him in February 2012, ‘Boxing’s Big Voice’. He is popular and famous for his distinctive hairstyle that is lengthy deadlocks and his announcing style with the phrase ‘the Fight starts now’ adding the fighter’s last name in the end.

Other than professional boxing Announcer, David is a TV Host and an actor as well.

So far he has announced for Huge Networks like ESPN, CBS Sports, HBO, NBC Sports, etc

What Are David Diamante’s Injuries?

David was riding on his motorcycle at Third Avenue in Brooklyn beneath the Brooklyn Queens Expressway when he met with a serious motorcycle accident.

The famous boxing announcer was hospitalized at the New York University Health Center immediately after the accident. He has suffered from three fracture spines, multiple broken ribs, and a badly damaged right knee.

The 50-year-old had to go through extensive surgery that continued for five hours. To fix the spine injury nine screws, multiple rods, and cadaver parts were there during the surgery.

However, there is no life threat at the moment. 

David has revealed that he is healing now and it seems like the road to recovery is going to be a struggle for him.

Good News For Fans

Apart from no life threat, for the time being, Diamante has shared a message with his fans talking about recovery and getting back on his feet. 

He said that the road ahead gonna be tough since he is going through a very severe injury, and getting better will take a lot of time, which is a big struggle for him. He will have to learn to walk again with the ongoing risk of complications.

However, he added that he will hold onto his positive attitude and has promised to come back soon.

His friend Michael Buffer had a conversation with Diamante following his surgery and has assured people saying the fellow announcer is very optimistic and has met many big challenges in life so far and the accident is just another one of them.

Nathan Lewkowicz, the vice president of Sampson Boxing, tweeted to say that Diamante had told him he is confident of his comeback after this injury.
