The one making the world laugh left everyone in tears. On the 25th of December 2021, Denise Tompkins, wife of Candy Palmater posted on Instagram about the demise of Candy. Candy Palmater was a comedian. She had recently celebrated her birthday. The famous comedian had just turned 53. The entire world mourns the death of the laughter queen over Twitter.

Candy Palmater’s Cause Of Death

Furthermore, the real cause of death of Palmater is not revealed yet. However, according to reports, the Canadian comedian was not keeping well. She was admitted to St Michael’s Hospital, Toronto a few weeks ago. Eventually, on the 15th of December 2021, Candy posted to her Instagram about her discharge from the hospital. Candy died at her home in Toronto, Canada. Denise, in her post, informed that Candy was no more. She also added that further information will reach the people shortly.

Who was Candy Palmater?

Well, it all started when Candy was born on the 4th of December 1968. She was from Point La Nim, New Brunswick. Palmater was the youngest of her seven siblings. The comedian went to Dalhousie Regional High School. Candy lived with her wife Denise Tompkins. Denise is the vice president of The Candy Show Entertainment Company. They tied the knot in August 2010.

Candy Palmater’s Professional Life

Candy would create and write the APTN TV show, The Candy Show. She was also the host of The Candy Palmater Show on CBC Radio One. Candy Palmater was also seen on Definitely Not the Opera on CBC Radio. She was also the columnist of the show Next Chapter and The Daily News. She has performed frequently in Canada for the comedy club circuit.

All these were done by Candy along with many other entertainment galas and events. Eventually, Palmater did production for her first film in 2011. The title of the film was Building Legends, a project for The Mi’Kmaq Canoe. However, Candy also came on a few television series. Series like Trailer Park Boys, Forgive Me, and Sex & Violence, were some shows she starred in. Candy’s CBC Radio summer series came up eventually.

The Candy Palmater Show was started in May 2016. In 2017, Palmater was also a panelist on Canada Reads. Candy was to play a role in the CBC sitcom, Run the Burb. She was even a guest panelist on the CBC Radio comedy series Because of News.

Peoples’ Reaction To Candy’s Death

The Candy Show’s official Twitter account paid tribute to Palmater. They expressed how their team is grieving her death. Furthermore, they added that she always left them smiling a bit bigger. They said they laughed a bit harder and thought critically about the world around them.

Many other celebrities and big personalities expressed their grief and tweeted. The people all over the globe mourned and sent their prayers and thoughts to Candy’s family and friends. We pray for the same and wish that Candy Palmater’s soul may rest in peace.
