How Did Brandon Lee Die? Remembering Bruce Lee’s Son’s Death in ‘The Crow’ Accident

Brandon Lee died on the movie set cause of an accident at the age of 28. He was the son of the Bruce Lee. The movie’s name was The Crow.

People are remembering Brandon today, October 21, 2021, after learning about Alec Baldwin’s accidental shooting. In the tragic incident, Halyna Hutchins also died, who was a cinematographer and director Joel Souza wounded.

How Did Brandon Lee Die?

On March 31, Brandon passed away in cause of a fatal gun shot. The incident happened on his1993 movie set of The Crow.

He died while shooting a scene in which his character, Eric Draven, was shot by Michael Massee’s character.

“Funboy” shot Eric from a range of 3.6-4.5 metres with a.44 Magnum Smith & Wesson revolver when he walked into the room.

After the earlier scene in which the bullet became stuck in the gun barrel. The crew was responsible for replacing the dubby cartridges with blank rounds.

 When the blank cartridge was shot in the tragic scene, however, it was said to have had a power charge and primer, which drove as a real bullet,  when the bullet forward with the same force, the actor got shot in the stomach.

After the incident, he was brought to the hospital, but when they reached he was declared dead.

Who Was Bruce Lee?

Brandon was born in 1965. He was a choreographer of fighting and martial arts skills and moreover, he was an actor.

Furthermore, he was the only son of Bruce Lee, the famed martial artist. He made a name for himself in the profession with his extraordinary abilities.

He went to Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and Emerson College to study acting. In 1989, Brandon debuted in the Hong Kong action films Legacy of Rage and Laser Mission, which launched his acting career.

In 1986, Lee made a film Kung Fu: The Movie and he did a series of Lung Fu and in 1987, he did Kung Fu: The Next Generation.

Brandon started his career in   Hollywood in the buddy cop picture Showdown in Little Tokyo, released by Warner Bros  and in 1992, was followed by Rapid Fire.

After Alec Baldwin’s Shooting Incident, Twitter Remember Lee

Most of the people started remembering Brandon, when Alec’s accidentally shot, years ago, he died in the same incident.

One tweeted, “Dude, this is still crazy to me bc this had happened years ago w/ Bruce Lee’s son, Brandon. This heavily so sad though, I’d be even scared to do any scenes with a prop gun if it’ll end my life. That’s terrifying, even then some special effects sucks and isn’t worth it, sadly.”
