Hellmann is slammed for starring Pete Davidson in Super Bowl LVII mayonnaise ad

Hellmann took to Super Bowl LVII to release their new mayonnaise advertisement. Moreover, the ad was showcased during one of the breaks at the event with a tagline that reads, ‘Hellmann’s bring leftovers to life.’

However, many viewers were not impressed with Pete Davidson’s appearance during the mayonnaise ad.

In addition, they wondered whether the brand needed to cast Davidson to only sell mayonnaise. They also slammed the 29-year-old comedian for promoting everything and anything.

Meanwhile, Davidson starred alongside some big celebrities such as Brie Larson and Jon Hamm for Hellmann’s new mayonnaise ad.

Besides that, all three actors play out a ham brie panini-themed skit in a play on both Larson and Hamm’s names.

The clip opens with a mini Hamm bumping into a jar of Hellmann’s mayonnaise while being inside a refrigerator.

Hamm responds with, ‘Brie? Any idea why we are in a fridge?’

Furthermore, both the stars then introduce themselves to each other with Larson claiming that they are the dinner.

Hamm says in the ad, ‘Brie and Hamm! Ham and brie, I get it. And Hellmann’s!’

Larson nervously mentions, ‘We’re dinner.’

The ad later proceeds to show Davidson opening the door of the refrigerator with Hamm asking, ‘Is that Pete Davidson?’

The  Mad Men star then sarcastically adds, ‘He really is everywhere.’

Additionally, according to a release, Hellmann’s playful clip, ‘encourages viewers to get creative in the kitchen with ingredients found in their fridges and “Make Taste, Not Waste.”‘

The commercial was aired during Super Bowl LVII, which took place on 12th February at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
