Garth Brooks recently revealed that his new bar will stock all brands of beer despite many conservatives’ ongoing boycott of Bud Light.

Here is everything you need to know.

Garth Brooks explains why he is refusing to ban Bud Light from his new bar

Garth Brooks is all set to launch his new bar called Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk. Moreover, it will open soon in Nashville’s notorious South Broadway District.

In addition, he got candid about the reason why he is not willing to boycott Bud Light from his bar during an interview with Billboard Country Live.

If you didn’t know, the beleaguered beer brand is currently dealing with continued backlash and boycott calls.

He said, ‘I know this sounds corny. I want it to be the Chick-fil-A of honky-tonks. I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another.’

He continued, ‘And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this if you [are let] into this house, love one another.’

Subsequently, he mentioned, ‘If you’re an a**hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.’

Meanwhile, Brooks announced last year that he is gearing up to open his new bar. As per reports, it will consist of three stories. The 61-year-old superstar bought an over 40,000 square foot property in December 2021.

He stated at that time, ‘We feel very lucky to have the chance to be part of Lower Broad, which is arguably THE hottest spot in the country.’

He added, ‘The goal is a classic honky-tonk that welcomes all and encourages love and kindness while playing the greatest music in the world in the home of country music!’

More about the Bud Light controversy

Bud Light has been facing backlash from conservatives following their disastrous partnership with transgender social media influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.

For the unversed, a couple of country music stars including John Rich and Kid Rock have been vocal about boycotting the brand and have pulled the beer label from their respective bars.

Besides that, the sales of Bud Light plummeted around 23.9 percent for the week ending on 27th May.

The beer had further dropped 28 percent in year-on-year volume for the week concluding on 27th May.
