Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, is facing backlash over rumors that she is involved in organizing a screening of a film depicting the October 7th attack by Hamas militants on Israel. On that day, Hamas carried out the deadliest Palestinian militant strike in Israel’s history, prompting Israel to launch its most powerful attacks on Gaza. According to Israeli officials, as of Tuesday, 1,400 people had been killed in Israel, according to the Associated Press. Gaza’s health ministry officials reported nearly 10,300 Palestinian casualties, also according to the AP. Throughout her country’s conflict with Hamas, the Wonder Woman actress has consistently used social media to express her support for the Israeli people.

As reported by i24NEWS, an Israeli-based international news television channel, the actress is assisting in organizing a screening of a 47-minute video presented by an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson to shed light on the ongoing conflict. Oscar-winning director Guy Nattiv stated, “Gal Gadot and her husband, Yaron Varsano, played a role in making this screening possible.” However, specific details about the date and the confirmed guest list are not yet available. According to the Associated Press, the IDF previously screened the movie for foreign press last month. During that screening, several audience members were moved to tears, and some even left the theater due to the video’s highly disturbing content, which highlights the increasing violence of the attack on hundreds of Israeli civilians.

Gal Gadot Is Under Fire For Hosting A Screening Of Hamas Footage In The United States

Gal Gadot is facing criticism for reportedly hosting a screening of disturbing footage obtained from Israel following the October 7 Hamas attack. The audience will include celebrities from Los Angeles and New York. The event will feature the entire 47-minute documentary titled ‘Bearing Witness to the October 7th Massacre.’ The IDF is said to have obtained the video, which was shown to UK journalists last week in London. According to the Jewish Chronicle, Gal has invited approximately 120 notable Hollywood figures to the first viewing. According to YNet, additional screenings may be planned. During the event, filming or using a phone is strictly prohibited. The efforts to bring this footage to the United States are believed to have been led by Oscar-winning filmmaker Guy Nattiv. On October 7, Hamas militants reportedly infiltrated Israeli cities and launched missiles, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians. In a televised statement at the time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to the act as ‘murderous.’ Perhaps the most horrific of these attacks occurred during an Israeli music festival. When terrorists stormed the event, it descended into chaos, claiming the lives of more than 260 individuals and leading to the kidnapping of many more. Thousands of people attended the festival, which took place near Kibbutz Re’im, close to Gaza. Palestinian militants overran the site and fired at individuals attempting to escape. After Quds News Network announced Gal’s screening on X, social media users quickly flooded the comments section, criticizing the actress. One user commented, ‘Oh, her career is over.’ Another person stated, ‘Boycott any celebrity who attends this screening.’ ‘Every single one,’ someone replied, ‘and that’s why I’ve never watched a movie featuring this Israeli reserve soldier.”
