Fuslie Discusses Not Multi-Streaming on YouTube Comeback, Cites Overstimulation Concerns
3 min readLeslie “Fuslie” made her much-anticipated return to streaming on YouTube after taking an extended break, and during her comeback, she opened up about her decision to stream exclusively on YouTube rather than multi-streaming on both YouTube and Twitch. With her exclusive contract with YouTube coming to an end, Fuslie now has the flexibility to stream on multiple platforms, but she chose to stick with YouTube for her return.
During her comeback broadcast on September 20, 2024, Fuslie explained that she wasn’t ready to handle the demands of multi-streaming just yet. The idea of managing two chats simultaneously, one on YouTube and the other on Twitch, felt overwhelming to her.
“Right now, I’m on YouTube but technically I don’t have to be. Like, my contract ended, isn’t that crazy?” Fuslie shared during her stream. “So, my contract finished September fourth… September fourth/September fifth.”
Despite her new freedom, Fuslie revealed why she opted not to stream on Twitch alongside YouTube for her comeback. She said, “I just was comfortable here, so I was like, I don’t wanna really make this return stream my Twitch premiere stream because then it feels like it’s too much. It’s already too stimulating, and then what? Now, I’m like learning how to stream on Twitch again, all of a sudden?”
Fuslie’s decision to stay on YouTube for her return reflects her need to ease back into streaming without overcomplicating the process, especially after her time off. She admitted that managing two platforms simultaneously would be more than she was prepared for at the moment.
The streamer had been absent from content creation since her last YouTube stream on August 8, 2024, making her recent return highly anticipated. Fuslie shared that her break was the “longest” she had ever taken in her career, and during the hiatus, she struggled with deciding which platform would be best for her audience.
“I was like, maybe I’ll run a poll, but like, I can’t run it on YouTube because it’s like a biased poll,” Fuslie remarked. “You run it on Twitch, you’re going to get Twitch, you run it on YouTube, you’re going to get YouTube people saying YouTube. If you run it on Twitter, well, I deleted the app, so… So, I’m like, I don’t know.”
Apart from discussing her streaming future, Fuslie also addressed the controversy that led to her taking a break from content creation. In August 2024, Fuslie found herself involved in a cheating scandal with fellow content creator Noah “NoahJ456.” The incident, which Fuslie admitted to during a broadcast on August 8, prompted her to step away from the streaming world for a while. This break gave her time to reflect, regroup, and eventually return to her fans with a clearer focus.
As Fuslie settles back into her streaming routine, she may eventually explore streaming on multiple platforms, but for now, she’s taking things one step at a time. Her return has been met with excitement from fans, and many are eager to see what the future holds for the content creator on YouTube and beyond.
